Chickpea korma and apple crisp

The apple crisp recipe is from get it ripe but i substitute agave for sugar. I made this for thanksgiving for my family and the whole pan was gone even though there were tons of non vegan deserts with sugar refined flour ect. I made this for the first time after i went apple picking in 2008 and i have made it so many times since then it's easy and delicious.

The chickpea korma is something that someone randomly threw together for dinner and posted about it on the post punk kitchen message boards. I have made it 3 times in a few weeks. The tomato sauce and coconut milk make an amazing creamy sauce.

stuffed zucchini

These were amazing and reminded me of a breaded zucchini dish my mom used to make in my pre vegan and gluten free days. This was even better though. I would be lost cooking wise without my food processor, i use it so much lately. I found this recipe on hannah kaminsky's blog. I have never tried any of her recipes before since i was only aware of the my sweet vegan book and i can't eat that sort of thing so being able to try one of her recipes after hearing good things was a nice surprise! These would be great to bring to a party to impressive people with but they were also great for dinner to impressive myself with. It's exciting that the stuffing is gluten free and made with nuts beans and vegetables. You can find the original recipe below.

food i ate in new york!

I went to new york for part of last weekend to see friends and as an added bonus got to eat tons of awesome food. apple carrot ginger juice , creamy roasted vegetable soup, and tempeh maki from angelica kitchen. PIzza from viva herbal, and raw tiramisu and agave sweetened lemonade from pure juice and takeaway. This was my breakfast monday morning. Yes really. a few things were not pictured since i don't know how to capture the charm of burritos on camera and i was embarrassed to take pictures of my dragon bowl and babycakes treats on the train.
