i like root vegetables and bust magazine





root vegetable and lentil chocolate chili over brown rice. This is a really bad picture of it. I got the recipe for it from the new issue of bust magazine, in a column that Isa Chandra Moskowitz does for the magazine. I've been reading bust since i was 15 or so and still love it so it's awesome that there are vegan recipes in it since that is something i am also very into {obviously}.




Also, a picture of vanilla gluten free cupcakes with chocolate frosting from the babycakes cookbook. I made these around christmas time for amara's going away party that i didn't go to because of a snowstorm. I brought them to New Hampshire for my family and friends to eat instead. I've cooked more often then this blog shows but i make lots of the same stuff over and over again and sometimes i am lazy and eat brown rice with pesto or raw kale. Mmm raw kale<3

baked pumpkin pasta



This is delicious. it is a martha stewart recipe that happens to be vegan and can be made gluten free by using brown rice pasta {or whatever kind of gluten free pasta you want]. I havn't eaten a baked pasta dish in years so this was a treat. Really good with all the snowy weather. thanks to katherine for posting this on facebook and always sending me recipes!!
